Training

 Instructor Training 

• You are expected to attend Big Sky Mountain Sports provided early season clinics.  

• Instructors will be paid for some training each year depending upon their status, as detailed in “Wages & Bonuses”. 

• As a staff, we strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism, knowledge, teaching ability and skiing proficiency. Each individual is expected to pursue these outcomes within their personal abilities. Do what is right for you, don’t push too hard. Awareness and ownership of your individual strengths, weaknesses, abilities and limitations will serve you well in this profession as well as in life. 

• Pursuing training, other than Big Sky Resort provided training, is not a job requirement. External training and certification, including, but not limited to PSIA/AASI events and certifications, National Academy, Rider Rally, and USSA events, is not mandatory and is outside of a staff member’s prescribed duties.
